Where a dated bungalow once stood, Naomi and Matthijs built a new house with a nod to the 1970s. “We wanted to create warmth and atmosphere here with a unique identity. And we’ve definitely succeeded,” says Naomi.

“WE LOVE NATURAL TONES AND A TIMELESS BASE” – NAOMI

“We previously lived in a house from 1937. We completely stripped it and then rebuilt it. We were very happy there, but we also had the desire to someday live in a detached house,” Naomi explains. “When this spot came up for sale, we thought it was perfect for our plans. This neighborhood, full of 1970s houses, is a great place to live. The plot with the old bungalow that stood here offered enough space for our dream of a detached house with a large garden. The bungalow itself had to be torn down, as it was too outdated. But we decided that the exterior of our new home should have a nod to the seventies.”
